Gaspereau Wins CBA's Small Press Award
This weekend the Canadian Booksellers Association (CBA) announced the winners of its 2006 Libris Awards. For the second year in a row, Gaspereau Press was named Small Press Publisher of the Year. Fellow nominees in this category were Brick Books and Drawn & Quarterly. The announcement was made at the association’s reception on Sunday evening, during the BookExpo Canada trade show in Toronto.
The Libris Awards were created to recognize and celebrate the achievements of all those who create, promote and deliver great books to Canadian readers: the authors, editors, publishers, distributors, sales representatives and booksellers. Awards are given in fifteen categories that recognize excellence in literature, book design, sales and publishing, among others. For more information about the awards, please visit www.cbabook.org
