Gaspereau Press Nominated for
CBA Small Press Award
The Canadian Booksellers Association (CBA) has announced the nominations for its 2007 Libris Awards. For the third year in a row, Gaspereau Press has been nominated for the Small Press Publisher of the Year award. The press was named winner of the award in both 2005 and 2006. Fellow nominees in the category this year are Coach House Press and Cormorant Books.
The Libris Awards were created to recognize and celebrate the achievements of all those who create, promote and deliver great books to Canadian readers: the authors, editors, publishers, distributors, sales representatives and booksellers. Awards are given in fifteen categories that recognize excellence in literature, book design, sales and publishing, among others. This year’s winners will be announced at the association’s reception to be held 10 June 2007 during the BookExpo Canada tradeshow in Toronto.
