Gaspereau Press Tenth Anniversary Exhibit
During the month of October the Vaughan Memorial Library at Acadia University, Wolfville, NS, will host an exhibit in celebration of Gaspereau Press’s tenth anniversary. The display will include books, posters, photos, news articles, reviews and other ephemeral material, as well as examples of the press’s production methods and a retrospective look at its first ten years in the trade. Located on the library’s main floor, the display will be available for viewing starting Monday 1 October. Come and take in some of the press’s award-winning design, discover new authors and learn more about how it all got started.
On Thursday 11 October the press will mark the launch of The Stone Canoe: Two Lost Mi’kmaq Texts with a reading also to be held in the library’s display area, starting at 7:00 pm. Editor Peter Sanger and illustrator Alan Syliboy will discuss their contributions to the project, and be available to answer questions and sign copies of the book. Refreshments will be served.
